GBS Mutual Bank Cape Town Ceo, Directors, Branch Code, Loans, Interest Rates & Fixed Deposit

GBS Mutual Bank opened its doors for business as the Grahamstown Building Society in 1877 which makes it one of the oldest banks in South Africa. The Bank has built its reputation and business on a solid foundation of honesty, integrity and an ethos which places value in its clients and staff above all else.

Despite the crippling effects of the small bank collapse in 1999, the bank failures in 2001 and the international banking crisis of the past few years, the GBS has continued to provide its clients with secure investment opportunities and competitive loans, and it strategically maintains a liquidity holding well in excess of the statutory requirements. An important aspect to note is that the Bank is a net investor into the interbank market and it is due to this that when this market tightened in the initial stages of the 2008 banking crisis, the GBS Mutual Bank was well set to navigate through that period of uncertainty.

We’re built on a history of relationship, insight and true collaboration. People helping people has always mattered.

We’ve placed the changing needs of our clients first, looking to find ways to advance our offering and meet what matters. In answer to a growing market gap, our partnership with AGH has seen us evolve our offering to take advantage of our shared knowledge of business and the food and agriculture industry to focus on the holistic food and agricultural value chain, from seed to service.

Today Grobank operates as a commercial expert across every area of this value chain, whilst also offering an expanding range of capabilities and services to businesses outside of this sector.

Our food and business offering, coupled with our continuous leadership in the alliance banking market as well as our service-driven attitude to banking means we’re a bank that truly does offer something that is wholly unique.

By harnessing the best of our specialities and a deeply intricate understanding of our market, we’re here to garner new opportunities, grow with our clients, support food security and innovate new products and services to advance our people, our partners and our continent.

Rand Merchant Bank Johannesburg Ceo, Address, Branch, Swift Code, Investment Banking (RMB Holdings)

Once upon a time in 1977, three entrepreneurs: Laurie Dippenaar, GT Ferreira and Pat Goss started a small financial structuring house in Johannesburg.

They called their company Rand Consolidated Investments (RCI) and built the business on the basis of Traditional values. Innovative ideas.

After Pat left the business, a new partner, Paul Harris joined. A few years later, the trio merged their successful lending and financing business with Johann Rupert’s Rand Merchant Bank. They swapped the name RCI for RMB and so the world of RMB came into being.
Making history

The entrepreneurs managed to expand their business from a R10 000 start-up into a financial services empire that would become one of the largest financial services firms in sub-Saharan Africa. In 1998 they established FirstRand Limited through the disposal of Anglo American's interests in FNB and Southern Life, and the merger of these assets with RMB and Momentum. This was one of the largest transactions in the history of financial services in South Africa.

Today, FirstRand Limited is the largest listed financial services group (by market capitalisation) in Africa.

James Formby is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RMB.
