Hiring of wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available for hire at our Customer Service Desk at Entrance 1 until 4pm, and thereafter at our Visitor Information Centre until 9pm. Limited wheelchairs are available for hire on presentation of your I.D. or driver’s licence, on a first come, first serve basis. Your I.D. or driver's licence will be held at the desk until the wheelchair is returned. All entrances offer wheelchair access and disabled toilet facilities are available throughout the centre for your convenience.

Our Visitor Information Centre has a dedicated SANParks representative, who can assist with all SANParks bookings in South Africa.

New Year's Day: 9am - 7pm. Optional trading after 7pm.
Festive season: We extend our trading hours to 10pm during the festive season.
There are over 8000 parking bays available at Canal Walk, with more than half of them being undercover; perfect if you’re looking for a shady spot to park your car and escape the African sun.
When you visit Canal Walk, you’ll find priority parking for both disabled individuals and parents with children, located conveniently at all main entrances. And, if you need to drop your teenager off for a fun day or evening with their friends, you can make use of our 15-minute drop off/drive through free parking period.
Pay stations are located at all of Canal Walk’s exits for your convenience. You’ll also find parking management attendants around all of our parking areas, who are fully equipped for basic roadside assistance onsite when needed.

It’s easy to use and when you purchase your Parking Card, we give you a complimentary exit ticket, so parking is on us! Parking Cards can be purchased at our Visitor Information Centre, located on the Upper Level below Entrance 10.
Child find wrist bands
Complimentary child find wristbands are available at our Visitor Information Centre located on the Upper Level opposite Steve Madden. Parents can complete their emergency contact details on the wristband to assist us in finding them if their children get lost.
Transport information
Our Information Assistants are able to help you with information on public transport systems. Options include the MyCiTi and Golden Arrow bus services, Century City Train Station, public minibus taxis, and private sedan taxi services.
Extensive security measures are in place at Canal Walk, including 24-hour closed circuit television, bicycle patrollers, and patrols by uniformed and undercover guards on-foot, all supported by an intervention response team. Canal Walk also fosters strong relationships with SAPS and Crime Intelligence Units, from whom we obtain all the latest information we need to regularly assess security preparedness and ensure the centre’s safety.
Fidelity Security Services provides a safe and enjoyable shopping experience to all of our visitors. They are a well-established and respected company with security personnel who are all well-versed in keeping you safe while you enjoy your time at Canal Walk.
